Misson
Our mission is to develop spaces and resources that serve entire school communities with high standards of practice and authentic care. We not only aim to provide our students with the support and resources necessary to fulfill their basic needs, but also educate them through an academic program that embraces pluralistic narratives and cultures, so they can engage authentically with the world and become self-actualized.
Legacy Academy is also a learning lab where other educators can learn how to achieve academic excellence while centering students and their identities to replicate such practices into their other educational institutions.
We are a collective of transformative educators united in our drive to freedom-dream and reimagine schooling and education. We strive to continue the work of those who came before us by inspiring and lifting those who will come after. We believe that education is a catalyst for profound societal and generational change. We believe this change will come by educating our students through radical education and trauma informed practices.
